Just about every month my favorite flavor changes…this month I’m favoring Black Maple Acer nigrum.

I LOVE the characteristics of their leaves, the way in which they droop.

I LOVE the iridescent fall color.

But the bottom line is the Black Maple is rare…thus my intrigue.
